The foundations of the Stal Hendrix family business were laid by the grandfather of the Hendrix family. His sons Paul and Emile inherited his passion for horses and entrepreneurship. Today, the third generation is active at the yards in Baarlo and Kessel. Emile’s son Timothy and Paul’s son Michel have competed successfully at the highest level of showjumping and have a keen eye for matching the right horse with the right client. Stal Hendrix sells showjumping horses worldwide, with North America and Europe as its main markets. Emile, Timothy and Michel also train riders from countries including the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden. At the Kessel yard, stallions are trained for top-level sport under the team’s own management and remain available to breeders during the breeding season. Stal Hendrix breeds around 25 foals each year and purchases additional foals to raise, primarily offspring of its own stallions. Through five annual events, the yard also contributes to equestrian sport in Limburg, from sales platforms to a national show with international appeal.
