The Billy Stud is a British breeding, sales, and training operation in the south of England, founded by Donal Barnwell and international show jumper William Funnell. Now in its 27th year, the stud has built a global reputation for quality British-bred horses, and horses carrying the “Billy” prefix have competed at World, Olympic, and European Championships, including team gold at the 2013 Europeans with Billy Congo. Our horses are raised as naturally as possible in small herds, started gently at three, and given time to develop before competing, which leaves them unspoilt and highly trainable. We sell directly from the breeder through our transparent Billy Stud Auction platform and private sales, and we offer training in show jumping and eventing, with Pippa Funnell involved in the eventing side.
